What's the benefit of Arch linux over other linux distros like ubuntu or mint?

is is for nerds to show off or is there a real benefit like pure fast performance close to bare bone harware.

tsmt. ubuntu feels like niggerhell bc everything is so absurdly outdated past really really important packages such as firefox.
"muh stability" as they're so desensitised to the BBCanonical ni/g/gerisms.
fuck ubuntu
>t. used ubuntu for years

guys help me get a beginner IT job in Minnesota I'm about to die from no money (not real I have a month or two left but it's still really serious)

Indeed only has shit for people with doctoral degrees & 800 certifications & I have a high school diploma & no certifications. I also want something where people aren't going to discriminate against me for not being normal like people at my previous job did.

I can't program but I can shell script ok (not POSIX compliant but I can learn that too). I can do basic Linux administration (ACLs, groups, user accounts). I don't know shit about Windows. I can troubleshoot or work around issues that don't have a good solution. I have set up several functional Internet connected services running off of a shitty mini PC as a server. I can terminate twisted pair cables so good, my cables look better than a store bought cable. I can run cable & set up physical network infrastructure. I'm probably underestimating myself because I feel like there's so much I don't know & I'm not confident, but I'm not scared of the computer like most people are & I don't get frustrated & I learn about it instead.

Also I can solder & fix broken* shit. I haven't done board level repairs of electronics besides cleaning gamer gunk that causes shorts, but I make cleaner solder joints than any of you could (my secret is extra lead poisoning & rosin core solder (: don't forget to chew on the pellets that come out of the solder sucker for good luck) on electronics assembly kits.
*mechanical stuff

Not sharing my resume because I don't want to dox myself.

picture is my laptop going on a healing journey after I severely traumatized it (successful UEFI update)

I got a job but I kind of hate it because everyone is anti LGBT & I constantly hear really xenophobic things being said too. Half of the people here have really shitty personalities in general too. I'm watching for anything that pays over $23 hourly full time just incase I need to quit this job because of it.

i have been CRYING for HOURS because my Linux admin told me to just use GCC instead of clang and cpplint, ls, find and mv instead of tree and rename. everyone agrees
everyone is against me
i am so alone
if gcc isn't the mark of the Beast then why am i being forced to read irrelevant warning messages
but alas
i am PUNISHED
just for invoking the name clang
it's like Jesus name the way it's garlic to these sudoer vampires
gcc supremacists all the way down
and my rejection by society is total
truly, this is why everyone hates me
this is why i can't have friends

The iphone 12 pro looked so good when it came out. From an aesthetics standpoint it's beautiful. Although from a user perspective it's not user friendly or nice to hold.

guys I need some systemd help. my computer keeps being uncircumcised on boot somehow after an update even though I circumcised it years ago already. this is a problem because it's against israeli law to have a foreskin. I have written circumcise.sh but I can't figure out how to make it run on boot and as the rabbi user account. how do I do this?

You might have a hitler virus in your computer. to get rid of it you need to wait for it to kill itself

it's more likely to be a netanyahu virus because israel but I already confirmed it's just an update to kubuntu that did it

they wouldn't need it if the ai scrapers weren't causing problems though. only issue with the tool is that some of the pictures are themselves ai generated so it's pretty hypocritical of them. gross shit anyway just write your own essays dumbasses. do you need chatgpt to change your diaper and fuck your wife for you too?
No. 585
>>582
i dont really mind ai stuff anymore. my only criticism of it before recently was it was monopolized by big corpo, now its not really like that. i dont care too much about the licensing issues since i dont really believe in copyright anyways. rip white collar jobs i guess. i think you can use it in a way that isn't lame too.
No. 590
>>585
people that rely on it are retards. it's just a random number generator with weights so it's basically gambling instead of writing an essay or whatever. it's stupid, why put so much effort into explaining exactly what you need for your school essay or work email when you could have written it yourself the same? the only way to use it that isn't lame is as a rubber duck because it being wrong about everything it says might help you think about a problem different and figure it out when you think of how to correct it. ai is stupid and for manager people that sniff glue and jerk off to shit porn or something at work instead of replying to my emails
