its rolling release with a different package manager. so you always get whatever the latest package versions are. and during installation you can choose a lot of the software you want to use. but theres nothing stopping you from doing that on your own on other OSes.

arch is gay though. real turbo autists use gentoo. or openbsd. or chimera linux. type shit.

The benefit is that it's different. It works differently & can do different things. Like how Fedora is different from Debian except Arch is different from both of those. Fresh Arch installs can be made very lightweight very easily so it's good for older computers. Alot of people that don't really know what they're doing use it only because it has a reputation of being hard to use (it's not, it's the same as any other distro) & they want to look cool. There's the rolling release stuff too.

Endeavor is supposed to be a good Arch based distro for beginners. It has the Calamares installer & if you connect to the Internet during installation it lets you pick some extra software such as a different desktop environment than the default.
